Terms and Conditions
Gonzo Dog will endeavor to create as safe an environment as possible for the training of Client’s dog and will only offer sound, safe, and responsible training and training instructions. However, Client recognizes that Gonzo Dog is not responsible for any unintentional errors, omissions, or incorrect assertions. Client understands that the recommendation of any other product or service is not a guarantee of Client’s satisfaction with that product or service. Client recognizes and acknowledges that there are no representations, warranties, predictions, or guarantees offered with respect to Gonzo Dog's training and/or services, including but not limited to: 1) any training goals, results, behavioral outcomes, or milestones; or 2) the time frame of such training goals, results, behavioral outcomes, or milestones.
Client attests that all information they have provided is true to the best of their knowledge. If anything changes from what is listed, Client will inform Gonzo Dog before the next service is scheduled. The Intake Form and Contract gives Gonzo Dog authorization to enter the listed address as needed to perform the necessary services. I authorize this Contract to be valid approval for services so as to permit Gonzo Dog staff to enter my home without additional signed Contracts or written authorizations, should entering the premises while Client is not there be requested.
Gonzo Dog reserves the right to refuse service to any client, at any time, for any reason. I understand that Gonzo Dog can terminate this Contract if Client does not follow Trainer's instructions, thereby potentially endangering the safety of the community and all parties involved, or if Trainer feels the dog becomes a threat to the safety or health of Trainer, Client or the community due to aggressive behavior beyond the scope of training. Gonzo Dog is required to report any severe bite incidents to authorities, which can result in dog being quarantined, deemed dangerous in a court of law, or even euthanized. Client acknowledges they are responsible for medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to Trainer, Trainer's assistants or any other person or animal caused by dog.
Clients of dog(s) with aggression and/or bite history understand that if Gonzo Dog agrees to work with Client and dog after initial assessment, they are potentially committing to weekly sessions or more (to be purchased in advance packages) until Trainer deems Dog/Client are capable of longer periods of time between sessions.
-
Client understands that working with Behavior Modification can sometimes result in worse behavior before it gets better.
-
Client will take all precautions and follow all advice on helping dog transition as smoothly as possible without incident.
-
If Client does not explicitly follow instructions, Trainer will terminate contract immediately for the safety of all parties and community involved.
-
If Client's dog bites, hurts or seriously injures anyone at any time for any reason under the guidance of Trainer, Client will notify Trainer with details immediately.
-
Gonzo Dog's insurance policy covers third party bites in the presence of trainer only. Client, Trainer, resident and helper dogs are not covered.
-
Client assumes all legal and financial responsibility. Bite incidents may fall under "double liability" (lawsuits are doubled when Client has previous knowledge of biting) and can also potentially affect homeowners' and renters' insurance policies.
-
Trainer will not be held responsible and Client forfeits legal action against Trainer.
Gonzo Dog is fully insured by Pet Care Insurance.
Veterinary and Dog Health Care: Client agrees to pay all costs and charges for all veterinary costs for the dog(s) during the time period that the dog is enrolled with Gonzo Dog. Client will remain responsible for all actions of the dog at all times, and will agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gonzo Dog of any and all claims of injury, expense, costs, or damages caused by or to the dog while under Gonzo Dog instruction or control, and under Client’s care as a result of following training instructions.
Payment for Services Rendered (CASH OR VENMO): Client agrees to pay hourly or package fee prior to services commencing. Payment is nonrefundable and nontransferable to create accountability/commitment to training. If there is an agreement between Trainer and Client to pay after a session, Client is held liable for payment and will not receive services until past due fees have been paid. Gonzo Dog has a cancellation policy of 24 hours advance notice prior to scheduled appointment. If Client fails to cancel within the time period, Client will still be responsible for the payment of missed session. Gonzo Dog also requires at least 24 hours notice to schedule sessions. Client agrees to indemnify and hold Gonzo Dog harmless, from and against all loss, damages or expense, including attorney’s fees, resulting from misrepresentations by Client or Client’s agents including, without limitation, any person claiming to be the Guardian of Client’s dog and any person claiming damage or injury by Client’s dog.
